Hotel Description

Hotel Hellsten is a boutique hotel set in a late 19th century building, two kilometres from Stockholm's opera and theatre houses and three kilometres from the open-air museum. This four-floor central Stockholm hotel features 30 guestrooms, individually designed in vibrant colours with Swedish or Asian flavours. All include free high-speed Internet connections, and cable TV. Bathrooms feature rich, grey Karystos tiling and come with floor heating, showers, and complimentary toiletries.
Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast before relaxing with a coffee and complimentary newspaper in the lounge. Multilingual staff on the 24-hour front desk can assist with currency exchange and advise on local sightseeing opportunities, while there is Internet access for those who wish to plan their own itineraries. Active guests can make use of the hotel's fitness equipment and there is a sauna for those wishing to unwind after a day's sightseeing. Alternatively, the lounge bar serves drinks and snacks in an informal atmosphere inspired by Africa and Asia. Many of Stockholm's main attractions are easily reached from the hotel, including the Concert House 300 metres away, and the Vasa Museum and Skansen open-air museum and zoo, both three kilometres from the hotel. Stockholm Arlanda Airport is 40 kilometres away, around 35 minutes by car.

Taxis run from directly outside the terminals and fares to the hotel cost around 500 SEK. When taking a taxi, passengers should speak to a taxi coordinator, found outside the terminal building. Stockholm has an excellent T-Banen subway system, as well as a bus and streetcar network. Taxi fares tend to be very expensive. Driving directions: From the airport take the E4 to Norrtull and turn left towards Centrum. Keep in the right lane. Follow Sveavagen until Tegnergatan, turn left by the Co-op grocery store and directly left again on Luntmakargatan. Continue one block, cross Radmansgatan and the hotel is on the right.
